Weihou Shui Founder & Technical Lead
Founder Profile

Dr. Weihou Shui holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from Tongji University and is a Professor-level Senior Engineer (PRC) and Registered Civil Engineer (Geotechnical), PRC. With over two decades of experience in foundation treatment and complex ground engineering, he leads the technical direction of QUAMBO TECH (Beijing) Co., Ltd, QUAMBO TECH (Guangdong) Co., Ltd, and DADI GEOTECH (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Throughout his career, Dr. Shui has contributed to national and industry technical standards in foundation treatment, composite ground systems, high-fill engineering, dredged fill improvement, and foundation testing. His work has strengthened structured, performance-based methodologies for large-scale ground improvement practice and reinforced technical discipline within the industry.

In engineering practice, he has directed major foundation treatment projects across petrochemical complexes, coastal reclamation platforms, heavy industrial facilities, and high-fill urban developments. These projects required rigorous interpretation of soil behaviour, integration of investigation with performance-based design, and strict execution control to ensure long-term structural reliability.

Recognising that traditional ground treatment practices often relied on fragmented supervision and manual data recording, Dr. Shui led the development of QUAMBO’s Digital Ground Engineering Monitoring Platform. Designed as an extensible data-driven system, it enables real-time monitoring and structured data management across multiple ground improvement methods, including dynamic compaction, vibroflotation, prefabricated vertical drains, and other foundation treatment techniques.

By converting construction processes into measurable and verifiable engineering data, the platform enhances site safety, reduces manual workload, strengthens quality control, and supports higher levels of automation in traditionally labour-intensive operations. More importantly, it restores technical transparency and accountability to complex ground treatment works.

At QUAMBO, Dr. Shui is responsible for technical governance, innovation strategy, and the integration of research, engineering judgement, and controlled site execution into a coherent delivery framework focused on measurable, long-term ground performance.

Founder's Message

“Geotechnical engineering begins with respect for the ground.”

Every site carries its own geological structure and uncertainty. The ground is not merely a collection of data points — it is a dynamic system that must be carefully interpreted.

Because of this complexity, foundation engineering cannot be mechanical. It requires experience, disciplined analysis, and a deep understanding of soil behaviour under real conditions.

At Quambo, we translate that understanding into performance-driven solutions — combining technical rigour with practical innovation to deliver foundations that are reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible.

Our responsibility is not only to support structures, but to ensure that what lies beneath them is engineered with clarity, accountability, and long-term intent.
